8 AM, I wake up and then,

I make a bagel with the cream cheese,
workin' at three until then i'm trying to take it easy.
Turn on the T.V., loads of shows that just go so slow
with those highs and lows, no
I ain't feelin' that, turn on the news and the news is revealin' that
single mom going crazy, working two jobs can't provide for her baby
people of the government again acting shady,
man on the streets next meal is a 'maybe'
it doesn't even phase me, it's not that I'm lazy
my coffee is warm and my bagel is tasty
so why would it phase me, let alone change me
what that phrase be?
