First, "lying in chalk" makes top 10 list.

May next year bring the same except 'local' refers to NYC, my new residence.

Well, i figure while i'm writing a blog i should go ahead and smithen a sentence or two. Perhaps relative to the preceding - my now locale. A pet peeve: Only in NYC do you take a 50 minute subway ride to go have dinner with some people. I'd never drive to Cedar Falls from Iowa City just kick it for a few hours.
Although the impression is still pre-pubescent, i don't much care for the big apple. It's too small for being so big. I feel like a flake being poured into a cereal bowl each morning when i exit my door. I'd like more friends but god damn i'm not gonna take a 2 hour commute in a metal box full of hyper stressed, eye-hiding good ones just for you. My spirit is weary. I would like to title this blog "update from the edge" but homey, i'm so low to the ground muafuckers don't even trip. I've been in Brooklyn for almost 3 months, but as Billy Briscoe says "we ain't losin' hope". I hope this next year opens my eyes to the delights of NYC. As of now, as you can tell from this here blog, i have trouble even feigning inspiration, let alone being the "I" between MC.

where i be writes now - August 7, 2006

i'm on the grizzy. by that i mean grind by that i mean, i'm engaging the necessary activities in order to get my album appreciated, sold and heard. Much to do. I wish i had an army behind me to help, i think it'd be easy then, because the music is sticky-icky. Jamo (my producer) and I are about to finish all the remaining recording for the next album. He thinks it is going to better than the Lying In Chalk. I don't know yet. Then i'm off to Brooklyn. I gotta find an apartment. Ideally near one of the temples i will be teaching Hebrew school (lord have mercy). I will leave Iowa City for a final time. It will be hard for many reasons, but by far the hardest thing will be leaving my girlfriend whose name will remain anonymous. Over this summer i've pretty much fallen in love with her in a strangely mature, kinda of world-awarey way. I think. So tune in for that heart-aching drama that brought you such hits as "Worried Blues" and "Quit Callin' Upon Me." Holler.
